Storm FC Spec Branding & Site Design
I designed a team crest to be included on new jerseys for the intramural soccer team I played on in Austin. Just for fun, I decided to design out a full branding package and website around the crest if our team were an NWSL expansion team.
Branding
A soccer crest has to be simple enough to be embroidered onto a shirt and still decipherable from a distance, so I chose high contrast colors that matched our team’s name.
I also designed an alternate logo for hypothetical merchandise since crests can be a bit stodgy, and designed a full inaugural season line.

UX Design
After looking at real team websites, I knew I wanted the Storm website to feel modern and dynamic.
While sketching out wireframes, I thought it would be fun to display roster highlights on the homepage like trading cards, which is my favorite part of the site.
